Reed Haley
Owner, President
With over 30 years combined experience in the renovation and customer service industries, Reed has a natural gift and passion for helping people and improving spaces. As a licensed general contractor and owner of Gate City Build Group since 2017, he’s proud of his reputation of honesty, dependability and taking great care with families as they turn their dream home vision into a reality. Reed’s favorite part of the remodeling process is the connection he feels with his customers. He doesn’t just build homes, he builds lasting relationships.
Reed earned his management degree from Georgia Southern University where he and his wife, Stephanie, met. They have 2 boys, and a girl. Their oldest son, Jackson, is following in his dad’s footsteps, working as a Project Manager for GCBG. Todd plays Varsity football and baseball at Walton High School and travel baseball on the 643DP Cougars. Reese is currently at St.Francis and is a competitive dancer at Rhythm Dance Center.
Reed loves the adrenaline rush in mountain biking and snowboarding (although he’s learned to tone it down in recent years), and being an active part of the East Cobb community. Whether at Walton High School, or Rhythm Dance Center, Reed is quick to offer his time and skills.
John Rogers
Lead Estimator
John has been a student of the remodeling industry since 1995. He founded his own remodeling company in 1996, which he successfully sold in 2019.
As Lead Estimator, John has been an integral part of GCBG’s success by focusing on writing construction contracts and working with the team on process improvement and business analytics.
Outside of work, John enjoys spending quality time with his wife of over 35 years and their grown children, who reside across the US and the UK.
John is an outdoor enthusiast, and shares Reed’s love for mountain biking. When he's not working on his laptop, he's likely out enjoying a ride.
Suzanne McMartin
Controller
Suzanne started her own business in QuickBooks Online Bookkeeping and small business advisory in late 2015. Being a single mom to a four-year old, she wanted a job that would enable her to stay home and be available for her son as he grew up. A decade later, she’s an expert in her field, guiding many companies to financial success.
She has been with Gate City Build Group from the beginning and has been a steady force in the company’s growth.
Stephanie Haley
Marketing Director
Stephanie spent her 25+ year career in broadcast journalism and television production. As a media executive, she created and marketed thousands of hours of content as HLN’s Vice President of Programming.
She’s always watched from the sidelines, proud of what Reed and team have built – a trusted name with proven results. Now, out of the corporate world, she’s using her experience and expertise to showcase all of the great things Gate City Build Group creates and make it an even bigger North Atlanta remodeling powerhouse.
